Coimbra celebrates “Ceramics Festival”

For the second year running, the Municipality of Coimbra is taking part in the celebration of “Good Morning Ceramics”, a European event that, since 2016, has been promoting this branch of handicrafts and celebrating European Ceramics Day. The initiative, entitled “Ceramics Festival”, takes place next Saturday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the historic center, with the presence of a group of artisans in Rua Ferreira Borges, who will demonstrate the ‘know-how’ of this artistic expression. Throughout the day, the initiative challenges the community to try their hand at the potter’s wheel or painting Coimbra crockery, and offers tile painting and pottery workshops, as well as a visit to the Antiga Cerâmica de Coimbra.
