Praça do Comércio hosts vintage fair next Saturday

The Coimbra Antiques Fair returns to Praça do Comércio next Saturday, February 28. Between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., the event brings together a wide variety of antiques.

The Praça do Comércio will once again be home to a range of exhibitors who make the Feira de Velharias a meeting point for antique lovers. Next Saturday, February 28, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., visitors will find household and decorative utensils, pieces of tinsmithing, jewelry, goldsmithing, religious art, books, vinyl records, postage stamps and other rarities, most of which belong to collectors.

The initiative, a monthly fixture on Coimbra’s cultural agenda for more than three decades, transforms the public space into a repository of memories, encouraging the buying and selling of collectibles, and is also an event that promotes social relations between the public and the exhibitors who take part in the initiative.

The Coimbra Vintage Fair is an important contribution to the revival of the Baixa, in a space of historical and cultural importance that is expected to be even more enjoyed by locals and tourists visiting the city.

The next edition of the event will be held on March 28.
