Urban Craft Fair returns to Largo da Sé Velha this Saturday with musical entertainment

The Coimbra City Council is promoting another edition of the Urban Craft Fair this Saturday, July 12, which will take place in Largo da Sé Velha, between 9:00 and 19:00. The event will see the participation of 23 exhibitors, mostly from the municipality of Coimbra, but also from other parts of the Central region.

The event offers a showcase of diverse craft products, from utilitarian items to decorative objects, many of which are made using traditional techniques and recycled materials, giving them a distinctive and sustainable character. The initiative aims to enhance local craft production, promoting direct contact between artisans and the public.

The morning will also be enlivened by a musical performance by the Salatina Association Saxophone Group, scheduled for 11am, reinforcing the cultural component of the event and promoting the involvement of the municipality’s associative fabric.

The Urban Craft Fair is part of a municipal strategy to boost the city’s historic center, encouraging leisure activities, cultural enjoyment and socializing, both for residents and tourists visiting Coimbra’s Alta.

The next editions are already scheduled for August 9 and September 13, also at Largo da Sé Velha.
