Showcase of Arts & Crafts in downtown Coimbra

Ferreira Borges and Visconde da Luz streets will once again be the stage for Montra das Artes & Ofícios, next Sunday, the 15th. Between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., 16 artisans will be present at this regular initiative, which promotes the region’s intangible heritage and is distinguished by the demonstration of live work in different aspects of craft creations.

Traditional Portuguese music, ethnography and folklore from the region will be in the spotlight, in three moments of entertainment, the result of cooperation between groups that are part of Coimbra’s associative fabric: at 11am, the “Vamos a Elas” Concertina Group will perform; at 3pm, the “Sons de Casconha” Concertina Group; and at 4.30pm, it’s the turn of the “As Moleirinhas” Folkloric and Ethnographic Group from Casconha.
