Urban Crafts Fair

On Saturday, the 11th, Manuel Braga Park will host another edition of the Urban Crafts Fair, an initiative that showcases urban crafts and brings vitality to Coimbra’s public spaces throughout the year. The event, which moves from Praça do Comércio to Manuel Braga Park during the months of July, August, and September, will liven up this expansive green space and one of the city’s main recreational areas. From 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., 30 exhibitors are expected to participate in this regular municipal program, which will certainly enhance and increase the enjoyment of public spaces by the local community, families, and tourists visiting Coimbra.

In parallel with this initiative, the public garden will host a cultural entertainment program featuring various local associations. The fado group “Serenata Coimbrã,” from the Ecos do Passado Association, will perform the first musical presentation, starting at 11:00 a.m. In the afternoon, two concertina groups are scheduled to perform: at 3:00 p.m., the “Sons de Casconha” Concertina Group, and at 4:30 p.m., the “Vamos a Elas” Concertina Group.
