@Baixa Coimbra promotes new free training courses for traders in September

August 27th

The municipal project @Baixa Coimbra, funded under the Digital Shopping Neighborhoods initiative, will host a new cycle of free training sessions in September, promoted by the Coimbra School of Hospitality and Tourism. The actions are open to the general public, but with a special focus on downtown merchants, and seek to strengthen digital skills, customer service and the enhancement of urban space.

The program, promoted by Coimbra City Council, kicks off on September 17, between 7pm and 10pm, with the training “Atendimento sem Barreiras: inclusão e acessibilidades“, led by Filipa Calhoa. On September 24, the training “How to integrate and use WhatsApp in your business: from customer service to after-sales” will take place, led by Hugo Teixeira Francisco, who will return on September 26 and 29 to lead “Google My Business: business tool“, also during after-school hours.

On the 27th, the morning will be dedicated to “Meet to Promote: discovering downtown Coimbra“, with Dora Passão, between 9am and 1pm, and the afternoon to the session “Saúde e Bem-Estar: prevenção de doenças profissionais no comércio e turismo“, led by Sara Serra, from 14.30 to 18.30. The cycle closes on September 30, between 7pm and 10pm, with “Life Saving Gestures: first aid in customer service“.

Participation is free, but subject to compulsory registration via the Turismo de Portugal Digital Academy platform. The registration forms are available at https://academiadigital.turismodeportugal.pt/.

The project @Baixa Coimbra is the result of a joint application by Coimbra City Council, the Agency for the Promotion of Downtown Coimbra (APBC) and CoimbraMaisFuturo, representing an investment of 1.236 million euros.
