Estação Nova hosts urban festival between May 8th and 10th
Coimbra’s Estação Nova train station will host the bash — Urban Festival, an event that combines urban culture, gastronomy, and music, from May 8th to 10th. The initiative, promoted by BREW! and co-organized by the Coimbra City Council, will take place in the old train station building.
Over three days, the space will host a program that includes the Beer Experience by BREW!, curated by national brewers, street food, signature cocktails, and DJ sets, as well as an urban visual culture component through the Urban Creative Lab, which brings together artists in the areas of tattooing, illustration, muralism, stencil art, and other urban installations. The program also includes creators and projects with ties to Coimbra, reinforcing the involvement of the local creative community.
The event model combines free access zones with experience areas requiring a ticket, integrating a cashless system and reusable cups.
The bash — Urban Festival proposes a temporary occupation of the building, inviting the public to rediscover Estação Nova through different experiences. The initiative is part of a broader program of events promoted in the city, such as Brew! Coimbra, whose 6th edition will take place from September 11th to 13th, contributing to the revitalization of different urban spaces.
