Free @Baixa Coimbra project training runs until March

The @Baixa Coimbra municipal project, funded under the Digital Business Neighborhoods initiative, continues to promote free training sessions aimed primarily at traders in downtown Coimbra, with the aim of strengthening skills in the areas of innovation, business strategy, security, communication and digital promotion. The training sessions are held in partnership with the Coimbra School of Hospitality and Tourism and are part of Turismo de Portugal’s Training +Próxima program.

Also in January, there will be a training “How to reinvent your business: innovation strategies”, led by João Ramos, will take place on January 27 and 29, from 7pm to 10pm, at the Department of Economic Development, Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Investment, located at Rua Ferreira Borges, no. 12, in Coimbra. With a total duration of 12 hours, this training aims to provide participants with practical tools to adapt their businesses to new market trends, focusing on strategic thinking, demand analysis, reorienting the value proposition and networking.

 

Trainings in February and March

The training program continues in February and March, with new actions in areas complementary to commercial activity:

 

At the beginning of February there will be a training “First Aid and Basic Life Support: gestures that save lives”, given by Sara Serra, will be held on February 2 and 4, from 7pm to 10pm, at the same venue. The aim of the course is to enable participants to identify emergency situations, assess risks, provide initial assistance and correctly activate the means of rescue, promoting a culture of safety and responsibility.

 

Also in February, there will be two practical courses led by Pedro Cerqueira. A action “Digital Photography of Gastronomic Products – Practical Sessions” will take place on February 16 and 23 and March 2 and 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., at the Coimbra School of Hospitality and Tourism.

 

Already at training “Digital Photography for Commerce on Social Networks – Practical Sessions” will take place on February 16 and 23, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., at Rua Ferreira Borges, 12.in both cases, participants must bring their own digital photography equipment.

 

In March, the program also includes the actions “Editing Digital Photographs: Social Networks and Marketplace”, on March 2 and 4, and “Service without Barriers: inclusion and accessibility”, on March 11, reinforcing the commitment to qualifying local businesses in strategic areas.

 

Participation and registration

Participation in all the actions is free, subject to compulsory registration via the Turismo de Portugal Digital Academy platform. The issuing of a certificate is conditional on a minimum attendance of 90% and the completion of the proposed activities.

 

The @Baixa Coimbra project is the result of a joint application by Coimbra City Council, the Agency for the Promotion of Baixa de Coimbra (APBC) and CoimbraMaisFuturo, representing a global investment of 1.236 million euros, with a view to modernizing, boosting and revitalizing the traditional commerce of Baixa de Coimbra.
