Recovery of Roofs

Our Building System:

After the timber has been laid (laminated beams of white bark) we have:

1 - OSB (Agglomerate Sheet Board) Water-repellent without formaldehyde (a chemical or volatile organic compound made from methanol, an alcohol that is very toxic to health).

NOTE: as an alternative to OSB on the inside of roofs, we can use MGO Magoxx Magnesium Oxide board or Alheta Lining - wood with male-female fittings;

2 - STANDARD Expanded Cork Agglomerate from Amorim Cork Solutions;

3 - Double OSB board;

4 - Onduline Subtile (ST150) which guarantees watertightness, so there's no seepage, and also has cavities that allow the roof to be ventilated.

IMPORTANT NOTE: it is made up of 50 per cent recyclable cardboard and 50 per cent bituminous, which, unlike tar, is an inert material because it doesn't mix with water or earth, thus not altering their properties;

5 - Rustproof metal lath;

6 - Traditional ceramic tile from CS - Coelho da Silva screwed to the lath.
