The Arts & Crafts Showcase brings live artisanal work to downtown Coimbra.

The Arts & Crafts Showcase, an initiative carried out by the Coimbra City Council to promote the tangible and intangible heritage of Coimbra and the region, returns to the streets of Ferreira Borges and Visconde da Luz next Sunday, May 17th. From 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the initiative will bring together 16 exhibitors who create pieces in different areas of the artisanal repertoire, with live demonstrations of their work. At the invitation of the municipality, several cultural associations from the municipality will also provide entertainment during the event. This includes Quarentuna de Coimbra at 11:00 AM, followed by Mondeguinas – the Female Tuna of the University of Coimbra – at 12:00 PM. In the afternoon, starting at 3:00 PM, the Rancho Folclórico do Centro de Convívio do Carvalho will join the event, followed at 4:30 PM by a street performance by the Grupo de Concertinistas Vamos a Elas. To conclude the program, at 5:30 PM, the female student group from the University of Coimbra, part of the Associação Cultural Mondeguinas, will return to the showcase.
