Telo de Morais Collection
From 16 July 2026 to 31 December 2026
The building, inaugurated in 1910 as a branch of the Grandes Armazéns do Chiado department store, is a curious example of iron architecture that currently houses a permanent art exhibition (Portuguese painting, porcelain, furniture, and religious art) donated by the Telo de Morais couple. Highlights of this collection include the sections on Chinese porcelain, with significant examples, and the painting collection, where visitors can discover the main Portuguese artists of the 19th and 20th centuries.
Admission is free on the fourth Saturday of each month. The exhibition is open Tuesday to Friday, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
