Regulations for the Use of Lockers
Preamble
This Regulation defines the general conditions for the use of automated lockers made available within @Baixa Coimbra, financed by the Digital Commercial Districts Program of the Recovery and Resilience Program (PRR). This service aims to provide a convenient and secure delivery solution for purchases made through the @Baixa Coimbra Marketplace, as well as offer users a temporary storage option for items. By using the lockers, users fully accept the terms of this Regulation.
Definitions
- @Baixa Coimbra: Digital Marketplace platform managed by the Municipality of Coimbra.
- Automated lockers: Physical structures located at the Municipal Market D. Pedro V for the delivery of orders acquired through the platform and for temporary storage of users’ personal items.
- User: Person who makes a purchase through the Marketplace or who uses the lockers to store personal items.
- Order: Items acquired on the @Baixa Coimbra Marketplace.
- Access Code: Unique code provided to the user for collecting their order or accessing the locker for storage.
Access and Registration
- To use the lockers, the user must provide the requested data. By providing the data, they are agreeing to the Privacy and Data Protection Policy, which can be consulted on the @Baixa Coimbra Marketplace.
- The user must provide correct and updated information at the time of purchase or locker reservation.
Service Operation
- The lockers can be used for:
- Delivery of orders acquired through the @Baixa Coimbra Marketplace.
- Order Delivery: As soon as the order is deposited in the locker, the user will receive an SMS or email with an access code for collection.
- The user will have a period of 2 (two) business days to proceed with order collection. After this period, the order will be collected by the seller.
- If the order is not collected, the user must contact the seller on the Marketplace to reschedule delivery.
Locker Usage
- The lockers have different sizes to accommodate various types of orders and personal items.
- The user must ensure that the order is removed from the locker without causing damage to the structure.
- If the seller detects any problem with the locker, such as malfunctions or access difficulties, they must immediately inform the support team through the contact provided on the Marketplace.
Prices and Payment
- The use of lockers for order collection is free during the initial operation period.
User Responsibilities
- The user is responsible for providing correct information during purchase or locker reservation and ensuring order collection
- The locker access code is personal and non-transferable. The user must ensure its confidentiality.
- In case of loss or improper use of the access code, the user must contact Marketplace support immediately.
@Baixa Coimbra Responsibility
- @Baixa Coimbra guarantees the proper functioning of the lockers, but is not responsible for damage, loss or misplacement of orders
- @Baixa Coimbra will not be responsible for delays in order delivery resulting from causes beyond its control, including force majeure, strikes or logistical problems.
Personal Data
- Personal data collected for locker use will be processed according to @Baixa Coimbra’s Privacy Policy , in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- The user has the right to access, rectify and delete their personal data, and should contact support through the channels indicated on the Marketplace for this purpose.

Final Provisions
- This regulation may be updated periodically to ensure compliance with new legal provisions or service improvements. Regular consultation of the regulation on the @Baixa Coimbra website is recommended.
- @Baixa Coimbra reserves the right to suspend or discontinue the locker service, committing to inform users with due notice.
For any matter related to locker use, the Coimbra County court has jurisdiction, with express waiver of any other.
