Strike Up the Bands returns to downtown Coimbra

Downtown Coimbra will once again be filled with music, energy and joy with Strike Up the Bands, on April 3 and 4. An event that celebrates Easter and anticipates the vibrant atmosphere of the Festival BAIXA o SOM’26, coming in June.

With Artistic Direction by Adriano Franco, João Silva and Rui Lúcio, this edition is part of the official Easter program of the Municipality of Coimbra and the Union of Parishes of Coimbra – Sé Nova, Santa Cruz, Almedina and São Bartolomeu.

Come and experience downtown Coimbra and discover how music transforms our spaces and brings people together.

The event features the special participation of BrassFreakers – Brass Band and Dixie Gringos Jazz Band.

A celebration that connects culture, community and local commerce – all in the heart of the city.
